How muah do you pay and what do you get for your money?
I am thinking about taking Tommy to a livery yard with lots of comings and goings(he is rising 4), so that he gets experience of horses coming and going and i also have people to ride out with. I am off to see a place on Wednesday but they only do full livery, which will be hard for me as i have mine at home and have always done everything myself.
So basically i will stop waffling on! and if you could please give me a rough idea of what you pay i would be very greatful
Thanks Kate x

Shavings bedding and good quality haylage
2 massive outdoor arenas (60m by 60m and 60m by 80m)
Full set show jumps
Free use of BE cross country course and hacking around 500 acres
Regular shows, clinics and tack shop on site

I used to do full livery for £60 per week, but it didn't include riding, so some may call it part livery. The owner also bought her own hard feed. No facilities such as menage etc though.

If you have had them at home it may be difficult to adapt, although it's nice to have people to ride out with, which I miss.

Hi ld, yes i was thinking of about £60 or £70 per week.
It's just because he is so young, he needs the experience and we need to be able to ride out with something safe to get him used to traffic etc, which we hardly ever meet around here!

Id class full livery as everything inc riding, personally beleive if they dont ride its only part livery!

Around here (surrey) you'd expect to pay £600pm min really

I'm DIY, but for a box the size of mine at our yard it's £450 a month (when I kept my first horse there on full livery 6 years ago, it was £230 - how times change). That covers mucking out, all feed, bedding and hay/haylage, turnout and catching in, use of both arenas and the whole estate (3000+ acres) for hacking.

Local yards are between 500-800 a month

though I know 2 people on a yard in berks who pay £1200 per month plus have to have 2 lessons a week at additional 70 a lesson

After care from comp/hunting

We do part livery which is pretty much the same but without the riding, or tacking up for owner! This £90 p/w
