Hi,
I'm 13, looking for a full loan, possibly part loan, Birmingham, Stourbridge, Worcester area. 13.2HH smallest I'll go but anything up to 16.2HH. I can jump comfortably up to 55CM and have a lesson a week. Been looking for loans for a while, but nothing suitable. Will get public liability insurance as soon as a horse is found. Would be looking for a horse who is comfortable to ride, don't mind the occasional buck, but would prefer a horse suitable for an intermediate. My aunt would also have the occasional ride. No mucking out but am happy to help with tack cleaning and bathing.

Doesn't sound like you quite understand what full loan is. It means that you assume full responsibility for the daily care of the horse, including all the costs. If you want to pick and choose what aspects of the care you want to be involved in, you should be looking at a share, which will cost you in the region of £10 per ride. Many sharers are expected to get involved with the care of the horse, so the chances of you escaping the mucking out are very limited!

If you don't want to muck it out you will need your parents to pay for it to be kept on full livery.

It sounds like you're after what is normally called a share or a part loan e.g. use of a horse a few days per week, rather than a full loan (which is like having your own horse, full responsibility). Try the Worcestershire Horse Group on Facebook, as a lot of people post wanted and offered shares/part loans on there. They usually do require a financial contribution plus stable chores, though.

KA Equestrian and Worcestershire Riding School both offer part loans of their riding school horses, that might be a good 'low chores' option, if you're really trying to avoid them.

Good luck, OP.

I have to say, if I saw an ad from a child saying they wanted a loan but didn’t want to muck out, I would very swiftly scroll past!!
i suggest you get a part loan from a riding school, and take the opportunity to learn that there is a LOT more to horses than just riding.
