As title. Horse is fully clipped and drops weight easily if cold so wears full neck rugs 24/7. I except this may mean she looses her mane and I can't do anything about it.

However, on the off chance there might be a way of saving it... What can I try? Would a mane equivalent of Bossy Bibs work?

I think Bossy Bibs do a mane guard too. Was looking at my horse's mane this morning and came on here to ask the same question!

Bossy's bibs do do a mane saver thing.
I have a grey and find that his mane survives better in the detachable neck type turnout rugs and with the slippery linings both on the body as well as neck parts of the rugs. I used to use a full neck cotton under rug and that was frankly a disaster.

Agreed I have been using tailgator for a week on her mane and some scars and they look better already. Smells lovely too :D

This^5

tail gator is the way to go

having had a mare with staphaurus keeping mane clean and healthy is the key if you have full neck . My fals never rubbed her mane and if you know anything about staph aureus you would know if this condition is the worst for loosing manes as hair root is weak and anything removes hair

I have been using my zipper hoods with great sucess ,inside and out, means you have to have to have a couple on the go all the time well they are always clean and warm !!!:D

I agree with this, from my experience it's the fixed necks that seem to rub the mane, the best neck rugs are the ones that have bigger detachable neck covers, they don't seem to rub. Weatherbeeta fixed necks are the worse for rubbing, but their detachable ones don't seem to rub.
I've got a premier equine rug at the moment which has a nice big neck and so far hasn't rubbed!
