, but i will need a full neck stable rug, wondering which is the best one, whilst keeping cost down low as poss!(even second hand maybe?)

I got a wetherbeeta 300 combo from equestrian clearance, they didn't have all sizes left, but worth a shot. It was £45. WB do have a new version out, its about £65 I think. Maybe not the best, but reasonably priced.

yes he will need a full neck as he has such thin skin!!(typical tb!)i think i will try a weatherbeeta as most rugs seem to fit him really well, even the really cheap ones.

The Kentucky quilt from Rhinegold is fab. I know most of Rhinegolds stuff is rather cheap and crappy, but this rug is brilliant. Lovely and cosy, never rubbed and got no damage after 2 years of use. I think you can get the odd one on Ebay. I got mine direct from them (at wholesale price..... so very cheap!) but I dont think the RRP is very much.

I dont like weatherbeetas as they always tend to be too tight in the shoulder for my girl! I love Horseware rugs - and although its not a 'proper' stable rug, have just bought the Rambo under blanket plus which is gorgeous!! (about £40) 300g, with a neck cover thats lined with shiney material so doesn't rub the mane! Shes got it on under her rambo insulator at the mo, as she feels the cold, and its ace!!!

If you want 6'0 or 6'3 heavyweight, I've got one of each for sale 2nd hand, immaculate & clean. PM me if you want further details.
