Is it normal for full seat breeches to be tighter? I ordered a pair (which will have to go back), and I assume the seat makes them tighter than ordinary breeches. I've never worn full seat, but they feel weird o_O. Am going to invest in some cavallo ones I think since the ones that are going back are rather thin, and I should prolly splash out on some proper competition ones anyway

Thanks

I love full seat breeches but usually get 1 size bigger - they don't seem to stretch as much but definately stick to the saddle!!! Lucky you getting Cavallo - v jealous!

Definately find my Pikeur full seat ones could do with being bigger, as others have said the "leather" seat does not stretch. Have found RTS-Bentex full seat breeches better as the fabric they used does actually have some stretch, it is also mega sticky, you will not need any glue to keep you in the saddle!

I like Derby House full seat breeches, mine are called Ottowa I think, they are very good quality and the full seat hasn't bobbled like my Mark Todd ones. They are around £50 which is 3 pairs to a Cavallo pair!! Lots of people here don't rate Derby House's service but I'm a big fan, maybe you need to phone to check item is in stock before ordering though.

When I first got my full seat on I could barely walk in them without feeling like I am pulled all over tha place not to mention riding

I got used to them though, they sort of softened and gave in and now I love them

I got mine in the same size but they are slightly bigger than the size of my other ones.

Sapphire_girl - I had exactly the same problem as you! Walking felt veeeeeeeery odd.

I'm going for some 90quid ish Cavallo ones, which yes are expensive, but not as expensive as the other styles!

Cavlo - The Derby house breeches I ordered were the Vancouver style - not at all bad, but I may order some in the future for everyday use

If you want some seated that do stretch well, Cavalry Collection sticky seats are a synthetic material that stretches as much as the rest of the breeches. They are budget price range , so great for everyday use too.

You could try the Caldene Belgrade, they have a cloth full seat which has a rubber treatment. I have just bought a pair and they are really well fitting without the discomfort of leather, and come in a huge range of colours.....
