At the weekend i put two of my colts on some grass away from our farm which is in a safe area, iv used this land on numerous occassions everything always being fine

on the land is a small yard, pretty old but handy to store a rug or a hay bale if needed,

on sunday we picked up a bag of rubbish from the yard and it looked as if a couple of kids had been down there or something

today i was running late for work so just quickly looked over the gate at them on the way to work, on the way home i stopped to top up their water, the hose and water is next to the yard, i stopped to talk and check my two colts and then looked over to the yard and could see make shift washing lines with clothes hanging on there and two plastic chairs

i left immediately rang my mum who is away atm to see if she knew anything, she didnt, spoke to my dad and he and a friend went down to have a look

when he went their it was obvious that a child a young one at that and an adult was living rough their, so immediately rang the police, they were not interested at all but my dad has a business in the area and has done alot in the community and insisted they came as a child was involved, dad has just gone to let the police in

at first i was angry because of my horses in there as they are worth a reasonable amount but now im soo worried about the poor child

Hope you get to the bottom of things and that all is well with the people that are there, what a shame that they are having to do that, surely social services will do something for them. I can understand why you were annoyed at first. Let us know how things have turned out.

well dad has jus got back apparently its an older man with a very petite girl who is apparently 16, so the police cant do anything, but they said they would leave tomorrow and that they are jus travelling, but i still feel its no way for a young girl to live, washing her clothes in cold water in a horrible old water bucket that we use for the horse's water drinker.

Not a nice situation to be in

yes but still i feel very sad for a young girl to be in that position, and i do wonder what has happened in her life for her to live like that

where i keep my horses there is a crossraods of lanes if that makes sense and one of the lanes goes down the side of my field, one day i was in the field and noticed a big blue thing in the lane, what looked like a tractor with a cover over it?!! we went over to the hedge and it looked like an old bouncy castle but it had a little chimney!! it was a polish man living in a public lane, used by a tractor!!! we spoke to him and he said ''me look for work and woman'!! wish i could do the accent on a post!!! we told him he couldnt stay there so he moved up the lane on to the open bit where the lane splits 3 ways!! i took my horse out 1 day and he went nuts (cant blame him!) so my OH told polish man to get out of his tent, then OH picked it up and chucked it in against the hedge!! a few days later he was gone!!

it was quite scary cos you dont know what their doing and where was he going for a poo?!!

weirdo!!!!

We get some new age travellers parking in a layby near us. We live in Devon and pay a huge amount in council tax and these people live there for months on end and pay nothing. It makes me cross.
