Well, took my 5yo to his first ODE, and did surprisingly well!

In the dressage, I couldn't take a stick so had to pony-club kick a bit, as Andy is a little dead to the leg, and then we did an alright test, I suppose, wasn't brill but hey-ho.I went wrong, as he slipped over onto his bum, and then got disunited, so forgot a circle (idiot moment) but just chilled out and went and did the movement again absolutely fine.
Expected a late 30's early 40's score, and was VERY surprised with a 29 (

) and was a little taken aback.

Then I did the SJ, what I'd call my weakest phase, as he is so clumsy (bless) but it was really tiny for 80cms, and he cleared them easily!

And I was worried about his stamina XC, because he's a bit lazy, no matter how fit he is, soyah. I went quite fast because he is normally so slow, and because it was only 375mpm I was too fast, but clear jumping, so generally pleased. Picked up 6 penalties for XC time though!

But then we went and checked results, and I came 5th out of I dunno - 25? So yeah, he was great. Will be looking for some slightly bigger ones (2ft9) to be doing, to challenge him a bit!

That's fab - by the sounds of it you'll definitely be ready for Intro by the end of the season! Glad you had a good day and nice to hear Millie is getting better. Well done!

A supplement you might want to try is SuperFlex- it worked really well with my horse who has a similar problem to your pony. He was just old and wellused, bless him, and that was 3 years ago that he was really stiff... It has worked a treat, so maybe worth a try when she's back in work?
