Fun games/exercises for kids and ponies in an arena

I'm mainly looking for fun things to do/games that enhance control and steering please.
My children are 10 and 12 but really only dabble in ponies. Walk and trot only please as one is proficient in canter and the other very much less so ?

What about setting up some handy pony courses? You don’t need a lot of posh stuff, few cones to steer in and out of (Asda have some mini cones available for £2 for a set of 6 currently as I’ve just got some). I also use swimming noodles linked together (bought super cheap from aldi) to set up a wiggly channel or a maze to steer through.

Take your inspiration from PC mounted games. Mug races, bending, flag races, ride and run - there are all sorts of easily bodged together races* with limited equipment!

*done in walk / trot for the sake of your sanity
