That river looks like such good fun! How come my dogs can only find scummy puddles to get wet in and not nice rivers like that? Never seen a dog pee in a river before though! :)

Great pics! I love your Rottie :)

Where oh where is this brilliant swimming spot?? PM me if you are scared the Spangle bunch will hunt you down or mob this secret area! :p

I know, he actually p!shed twice, the first time we thought he was stuck he pished so long, he also whinged cos he wanted to chase the stones but was desperate for his wee:eek::D
He is a typical big wuss, dopey shep:D

I will egt Oh to find u the google map, it's really beautiful, we usually go to finchale abbey (have ya been there?) for them to swim, or duridge bay, this is Durham river, there is a funny little car park (it's wierd) OH founf it whislt seeking new dog walks for the dogs that live in durham, I will get him to find the spot and give ya directions:)

I want to come and live with you ! :) On a hot day like today and stuck in a stuffy office those pics are sooo refreshing. Lovely doggies too :)

Lol, the beauty of working 2 nights a week, on the night shift, u get the rests of the days to yourself and OH does this for a living (jammy swine) we usually have 2 boxers and a dobe and a ddb x on this walk, but their owners are off work on their hols, so took 2 of mine.

We are now off for the second walk to take the rest of my own pack out:eek:

I am so jealous! Can me and mutts come up to play in the river, all we got here is the grass sprinkler, smelly ditches and a beach full of walkers and tourists....

:o I thought it looked like Durham River..... but I thought it looked far far too peaceful! There is not a student in sight!!
Directions would be fab... puppy + OH will have fun playing in the water!

My dad used to take me to Finchale and I completely forgot about it to be honest! Maight be worth a look with the little tinker!

Was just trying to think of some clear water (as opposed to bog) to visit when my friend and I go our weekly walk tomorrow. That river looks gorgeous, although maybe a little polluted now thanks to dopey shep. Love the fact he was shaking whilst still in the river duh!

Fantastic pics Cayla, Regan looks amazing :):):):)

And HOW cute is little Pancake......:p

I think I might send three greyhounds up to you for their holiday :D

Looks fantastic what a beautiful sight after today's weather! Looks like your pooch and the boarders were having a brilliant time! Gorgeous dogs too! :)

Intrigued though as to how you got the GSD swimming....our girl will barely get her pads wet and the only time on holiday that she did swim was when she walked straight off the lauching jetty for boats and had to! (She didn't realise, and I have to admit *ashamed owner* I did laugh and laugh at the look on her face as she just disappeared!) She realised she quite liked swimming then - but every holiday since is the same it takes her 3 days to get her legs wet then she might swim on the last day!!

Got to agree with Cayla re water mad GSDs, mine have always loved water. Evie gets in the poor horses water trough frequently if there is nothing better on offer.

Great pics - lovely clean river too! Poor bullied GSD being set upon by your out of control Rotti. Shouldn't she be restrained and muzzled in public?:D

Lol, it was me really "go on reagie get him, go on don't let him out" :D she started to paly with him at first, did he mad dunching of him, then I thought it would be fun to keep it up( my bad):D

What lovely pics, my GSD absolutely adored water, could not get him out of it! used to try and run up and down in it when it was up to his neck, very funny watching him make huges leaps in the air trying to move forward! :D

Try having a mess about with the sprinkler or hose pipe:D

I did yesterday when I was washing my car - she gave me a look like "Mum what are you doing to me?????!" and shook her head then ran inside :p once she's actually got her legs off the ground, she realises she quite likes it...but its just getting those paws off the floor in the water!!
