Thought it time for a light hearted post...what do you notice about yourself or life that has changed as you have got older.
horsey or not it dosent matter.

becoming old is..............

going out with friends on a good night out.... and taking 4 days to recover!!
 
watching gardeners world or countryfile with a glass of wine and feeling content..............

wondering why girls wear high heels and no coat when its freezing........

going out without make up ,looking like adogs dinner and not caring........

when all the men look at your gorgous daughter and dont even notice me sob sob

It really does take longer to recover from things likes night shifts and injury. You think more about the consequences of falling off and it`s not that you don`t just bounce the same, no, you still bounce but are damaged every extra time you hit the ground! Oh, and you start looking forward to retirement and the things you`re going to do when you get the time!
 
^^^ yes, you go 'splat' rather than 'boing' and the mad horse snorting fire and brimstone that you'd have been itching to get on at 15 has you hiding round the corner at 30!!!

I find it is about caring less what others think, which is great, I am not even 29 and often feel like a grumpy old woman some days

..when you start to say things like 'when I retire I'll have more time to ride'

...when you head for the tena lady rather than the tampons in the chemist (sorry!)

Finding that each week another part of your anatomy doesn't function properly any more. Buying your underwear from Damart rather than Ann Summers. Not worrying about wrinkles because you can't see them in the mirror when you haven't got your glasses on - so you go to get your glasses and then can't remember what you wanted them for. Sitting down to watch something that you've wanted to see for ages on TV and waking up at the end of the final credits (mind you I did that when I was young too!).
However ... life is so much easier once you reach the stage where you're not really bothered what other people think any more ...!
