Small NF pony, adult rider. She likes to jump, but given my height vs hers (I fit, and am not too heavy, but her neck is v short!!!) I would prefer not too high. She LOVES hacking and tolerates schooling. Beautifully behaved and happy to learn whatever, although prefers if that does not involve a sand school ?!

So - before her I always had larger, more sports bred ponies who did SJ or dressage. What can I do with her? Trek? Fun rides? Anything else?

Ideas gratefully received! Happy to learn something new with her, I only got into dressage and SJ because the ponies I had at the time has a clear preference for one or the other. I like to do something with them that they enjoy too.

And if you’re wondering why I have her…she’s mine because she hates children on her back (bought her unbacked so that wasn’t anything we could have known), but has turned into a perfect mother’s pony for me. Right now that’s exactly what I need, but it would be nice to have something to do with her that’s ‘ours’, that has goals to work for and does not involve the children.

Not the best pic but should give the general idea!

Having been inspired by the ‘sell your discipline’ thread, I thing working equitation sounds like an amazing thing to try, and it sounds like your wee mare would take to it well!
