Fundraising! :D

My school, along with Camps International, are offering my year the opportunity to go to Kenya for a month to help with community projects. We have to raise the money ourselves and was just wondering if any one had any good idea's regards to fundraising around horses? The only things I could come with are grooming and tack cleaning. Not the most original, I know!

The local school sports clubs were I grew up used to organise with the supermarkets to do bag packing. Or car washing maybe?

How about offering a lorry/trailer cleaning service? I can think of a lot of people who would be thrilled to let someone else give their box a good going over!

Tack cleaning
Sell any old horsey bits and bobs you dont need any more.
Carboot sales
Sponser to do something fun or silly.
Do a raffle or one of those 'guess how many sweets are in the jar' for a few pence a go...winner gets the sweets.
Coffee mornings
Write to local businesses, explain what you are doing and that you will give them a presentation on your return. They may give you a grant or token amount. helps with their public image too
