I volunteer at my local RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association) branch and they are currently asking if anyone can think of any fundraising ideas. Wondered if you guys can help me out as I can't think of much!

All ideas welcomed :) Thank you!

cake sale
book sale
sponsored ride (or other event- swim, run, walk etc.)
coffee morning
raffle
promise auction

don't know if any of these interest you but just a few to get you started! good luck :)

I'm on the fund raising team with my local RDA group and am always after new ideas . One or two we have come up with are Carwashing and stalls at local School Fayres selling cakes, cards and running Tombolas. Last year we started a "Sponsor a Pony Scheme" where people pay to sponsor one of our ponies . They receive a certificate of sponsorship which has a picture of their chosen pony and a twice yearly newsletter .We also run an open day in the summer for the sponsors to meet the ponies and for the parents of the children to meet us and see what we do. It has proven to be very popular although is quite time consuming .
Hope these ideas help .

My local RDA has just had a christmas bazaar. We also sell diaries and christmas cards with an RDA theme.

In previous years we have been allowed to collect outside Sainsburys and we were nominated as the chosen charity for our local Waitrose.

We also run fun dog shows, proms in the park type evenings and had a brilliant evening greyhound racing - we got the races sponsored for our group and sold tickets and had a collection and a tombola and raised loads of money.

I'm on our school PTA and alway trying things Christmas Craft fair, Frog racing night and we hold 4x Equestrian table top sales amongst other things.

Try and get somebody involved that has an employer that Match Funds too- we have a committee member who is employed by a bank and they match fund up to £750 3x in a year which is amazing.

Also...
easyfundraising.com it's free to set up and easy to contribute to by doing your christmas shopping on line. I used it to book my holiday this year and by just using the link contributed a % of my £3.5k holiday cost to the school with no extra cost to me. If you can get lots doing it it really adds up and without any extra cost to anyone.
