Hi,
Am desperately trying to locate the funky bridle that was featured in the H & H Q & A a good few months ago. ( M M-Beerbaum I think!)
Another forum person (prittstick) has given me the heads up that someone here might be able to give me details of the Issue it was featured in.
HELP!!

not sure of the issue, or anything about the funky bridle.. but another user 'Tigers_eye' has a funky bridle, which might be like the one featured in H&H a couple of months back.. give her a try.

This was invented by two top Swedish showjumpers (Peder Fredricson, who was a top eventer before he started doing just showjumping, and his wife Lisen Bratt) - I don't have a horse now, but if I did, I'd get this bridle, totally makes sense to me. Anyone here used it? Good?

Pretty similar idea to the Elevator bridle I guess - relieving poll pressure. The backwards-looking noseband is just to keep the bridle in place despite its curved neck. Apparently it helps stop horses from getting their head beyond the vertical as well. So no rollkur with this bridle...

Hope you can understand what I mean, I am Swedish and despite having lived in the UK for ages and speaking v good English in general, my horsey vocabulary is still not up to scratch! :-)

This is a reply for all! My own bridle is a cob size, but I've had it on horses every time I've used it. Some horses love it, some hate it, but it appears I've not had the reverse grackle thingy fitted correctly, so I may try again! I am 99% sure it is not dressage legal, so I have only used it for show-jumping and dressage. Unfortunately the two horses I have currently don't particularly like it, they don't flex laterallt as well in it as in a standard bridle. However within the past year I've had two horses that went significantly better in it than in a normal bridle!

Interestingly I bought it in Sweden! I think it was just out, and it cost an absolute fortune! It was about £350 I think, if not more, so I'd like £100 for it really.
