I know there's been a post on this before, I looked for it and failed

I was just wondering having seen the other post below about what funny comments you've ever had on a dressage test before??

The last one was hilarious, but I can't find it anywhere

*stamps feet*

my first test with my demon mare said 'could concentrate more, seems distracted'.
this comment was aimed at the point when my mare planted mid test, started screaming her head off, then decked me!!
wasn't funny at the time!!!

We were doing a test in an outdoor arena with sleepers and banks around the edge. George jumped the sleeper and went up the bank! The judge beeped and we did the movement again, this time in the arena. On the sheet the judge put 'horse thought he was going cross country'!! We came 5th!

One after the other...

'Horse strong'
'Horse getting stronger'
'Horse very strong'

then in the comments at the end...

'well sat and ridden despite the horse taking you like a train!'

This was Genie deciding that she could do a 4 1/2 minute dressage test in 2 minutes...

"He wasnt helping much today was he?"

When writing for a judge..."I'd love to take your horse hunting..." reflection of the speed of the canter!

'Slight loss of attention' - Horse had fixated on the terrifying dressage boards and trying like mad to spook and shy away from them....

'Behind leg slightly, could go forwards more' - 4 feet planted and doing half rears at said boards again!

'Error of course' - Our canter circle ended up us lapping the same circle about 9 times tanking before I could pull the sod up again

'Better impulsion but lack of bend' - Broncing down arena.

I think judgy was trying to be very polite and nice to us. LOL.

SLight naughtyness- well sat- meaning I am proffessional bull rider and mare turned herself inside out for 10 secs then settled and i clawed my way back on

Thank you for all those- made me laugh so much, and only because I think we have all been there at some point- my lowest point was a classic score of 32% when I was on a a yard which ran affilited DR (lots of big and beautiful animals!!) We cantered sideways down the centre line...not amovement I remembered from Prelim 18!!!!the judge just wrote "what a well turned out pony"...think the silence said it all!!!!!!!

my old mare once got "Ran into uncontroled canter" worryingly i didn;t think it was that unconroled. And my other horse got " wot a little maddam" i didn't like to point out this was actually much better than sometimes

I have not seen the comments from this morning's test, but we entered at A at a pace that was 1/2 trot, 1/2 canter, half-passed left to the 3/4 line, then back (doing Grand Prix now) to the CL. He fell over on to his knees in canter, scrambled up and almost shot out of the arena.

We still got 54%! I think the judge's guide dog was relaying to her how we were doing during the test...

"It was entertaining to see a test like yours after a long day. Well done for staying in the arena and not damaging my car. Very well sat!! Was nice to see you smiling still at the end" That was after several rounds of bronking and spinning then me bursting into a fit of laughter when we halted (think it was histerics). The odd thing was that he actually won the test before with 73%.

Yes - I got "make sure the horse does more work than you!"
Every time I ride I end up in a sweaty mess, even in the middle of winter! Even worse when I'm jumping - I hold my breath too.

Oh and while writing for judge... young horse had been fairly flightly all through test. First canter was 'energetic' (in my terms). When asking for second canter horse exploded for several strides and went slightly loopy. Judges comment was "a little unbalanced"

I've got "pretty pony" a few times. The test was too awful to comment on! "A lovely pair - you suit each other". As in both very determined and obstinate-him that he wasn't doing dressage and me that he was! And after a bronking fit before the test began, the writer told me the judge said in a very posh voice "Ooh! what a naughty pony".

I know of someone who got "Nice jacket." as that was the only positive thing that the judge could find to say about her abysmal test.

Love these comments.
I've had "horse not working with you today, well ridden" aka well done for staying on through a serious of bucks and generally doing everything not asked of her.
My all time best, from a friends said "free walk on a long rein means horse shouls stretch down, not up!"

i got interesting circle and a drawing of our "blob" circle next to it! also got an atractive horse, that was after he jumped out the arena back in and bucked oh and he broke the white markers at the side!

'pony wavering to right of centre line' - yes because the damned thing hadn't been laid out straight! (on a grass arena)

'a nice pony, but needs to be a little more balanced at times' - spent entire test running away from scary, horse eating, white boards!

I once got "caller showed more energy that horse"

I was riding the test and the owner was calling it for me - she got a little over excited
