Actually, I was just thinking back to my Arab's daft name - Kehshshpian. I used to BSJA with him and I was remembering all those hilarious announcements over the tannoy as I entered the ring with him! Plus I had a complicated double-barrelled surname to go with it

It always lightened up my nerves laughing to myself as I headed towards that first fence!

Hey! My first pony was called Daisy! Canfield Daisy in fact! Plainest mare you ever set eyes on and bolted with everyone, so the delicate 'show name' didn't really suit her. Always thought she should have been Christened Satan or Sinner

When I tried my boy they refused to tell me his name till we bought him. Its Jeremy which at the time I though was so embarassing but he actually really suits it. If he was a person he'd be a very polite well spoken public school boy

One of mine was a grey mare by Welton Crackerjack, the people who used to own her hated her name - Jessie James (go figure!) and changed it to.....

hahah! After working on a dealers yard you get used to funny names- here are some of the best i can remember, and yes, I am responsible for some of them, and some are still called these-
Doris- this was actually a gelding, but a foriegn one and his name translated to dorothy, so it stuck
Long Shanks- had very long legs, went to a riding school and is still called this!
No Eyes- had very sunken eyes and was a big black ISH, he's now called Sebastian and doing very well!
Pig- nickname for my gelding, his real name is brig, but thats what he gets called and has done since he was born!
Shed- (this was a sh*t head to break in, no one ever got the name! and so it stuck!)
jerimiah- little nf i had, was so sweet.
Benson- show name "Tower Hamlets" aka my log in, he's a hackney! and one of the countrys best up and coming 148s now, and yes, he still has this as his reg bsja name! muhahaha!
robin- coloured with a red chest
dennis- was a mennis.
Angel- reg haflinger, this was on her passport so it stuck!
super pony- another 148, was called this as she had a marking the shape of supermans symbol on her forehead, and was also a super pony!
sat nav- friends sj
pork chop- a very badly behaved young pony- this later changed to Cracker, and he did eventually come right
Pancake- little 12hh, named by friends daughter
Guy fawkes- arrived from ireland on fireworks night
Drum- big black thing
Iggy pop- eldery grey tb we rescued, looked a bit unkempt hence the name!
Gary- very well bred show pony by indigo blue, think he got called this as he was "gary the larry" a bit thick

I'm sure I'll think of more!
