You had to be there really but I thought i'd share.
My mare can be a bit nappy going away from home on a hack. Not naughty just lazy. It is like she is saying " I have a back problem I cant walk faster than this..." On the way home all signs of any difficulties disappear!
Funnily enough!
Well today I went out for a hack but rather than do the whole round route I was feeling lazy so decided half way round to turn her round and come home. This saves my legs if you know what I mean.
My horse also knows every route home and I dont actually have to do much on the way home. In her previous life she was a homing pigeon without a doubt.
So about a mile from home we come across a trailer of which the owners were trying to reverse it into a field and hence blocking the road. So she stopped to have a good look about 50yds from said trailer. That was ok as there really was no point in proceeding as we couldnt get past.
Now as we were going home I knew it wouldnt bother her, she is very good in traffic anyway. But she doesnt really do trailers!
So suddenly she just turned round and marched off in the other direction! No silliness, just turned and went back the other way! LOL!!!
I think she thought she might have to go in it!!!!!
She wasnt going to take any chances!!
It was funny! She is just such a cheeky mare!
Such a sense of humour !!!!
