To all those who recently were very helpful and full of advice when I posted my "sharing" threads... thank you very much! Just a little update for you:
I met a friend of mine today while out hacking my share horse for the last time (fantastic hack!). I'd been putting the word out that I was free to ride/ share, and I mentioned to my friend that I was horseless... her face lit up, as she told me she is looking for someone to share her horse! I said I'd give her a call this evening and have just got off the phone to her... not only am I going up to her yard on Sunday to have a sit on her horse and a chat about how we could work this share (she was offering to pay me for it as well! Although I refused, as I'm just so happy to have something to ride) but she also said she had mentioned it to her friend with a horse at the same place and she is also interested in having help! I am SO over the moon! So now I have (potentially) two horses (plus my own horse, her fieldmate, and the new 2yo going in with them)!
I don't know much about either of them, but from what I remember the first is some sort of Anglo Arab type, grey gelding, about 15.2-16hh ish, about 14 (? rings a bell!), had a reputation as a bit of a nutter until he broke his leg this summer... came off box rest a totally changed horse and has never looked back. I'm hoping I can manage to hack him over to my instructor's place for lessons as it's only 10 mins away, which would be fantastic! He's a really lovely horse
Second horse is about 15hh, cob type mare, piebald with all the feathers. 6yo, bought as a first horse, she's a total sweetie although a little nervous on the ground, but very patient and actually quite a good little horse in the school. I'm not sure what will come of this one but we'll have to see.
So thank you very much everyone who helped, I just hope this works out now!
very chuffed Sil!
