Morning

Funny little story for you.......

I rode and led this morning (seeing as its dry!!!) and coming home across the moor I came across a very narrow but quite deep little trench almost concealed by reeds. I stopped in front of it in the hope that the horses would actually look and see it - infact I even said "look a ditch don't fall in"!

So my mare Lottie goes forward and sticks her front leg straight in the ditch and lurches forward -Doh! Whilst I am being thrown forward on my pecking horse, Trixie stays stock still on the other side of the ditch, wrenches my arm back and ping goes her lead rein out of my hand!

So I had to ride all along the side of the ditch (it was pathetically small!) until I could find a place to cross that wouldn't cause a broken leg and then back down the other side to retrieve Trixie - who was still standing stock still, lead rein dangling with a look of "Sucker" on her face!

I then noticed that our neighbour was driving down the lane and had watched it all

He did have the good heart to roll down his window and shout "Lovely morning"!!

Hope you all have a good day. I won't be back 'til late so if anyone could turn my horses out at about 5pm...........

Isn't that just typical!

I am impressed that Trixie actually just stood there and waited for you, mine used to buzz off at his best welshy "Gotcha!" tail in the air trot laughing his silly little socks off at me.

I am very impressed that Trixie just stood and waited - mine would have trotted off, tail in the air, stood on the lead rope and snapped it, frightening itself .... cue galloping off over unsuitable ground .....
