A couple of weeks ago I noticed a swelling about the size of a 50p on my horses shoulder (looked a bit like an insect bite), didn't really think anything of it so left well alone.
About a week later the lump had gone hard, I poked around but it didn't seem to bother her and wasn't hot or anything so thought I'd wait to see if it changed.
Changed her rug last night and noticed that the lump has fallen off to reveal new pink skin underneath!
Has anyone else experienced this and do you think that the hair will grow back as it looks very obvious at the moment, also any ideas as to what might have caused it?
