had forgotten all about this funny habit until this week when i started feeding had food again, my mare and my daughters pony both wave a front foot about while they are eating:) it's like they can't keep still so have to wave something lol:confused: anyone else's do this and is there a reason?

Chah!!! That is nuffink!!!

I went to my mates yard and her 4 year old bucks AND farts AND rears AND neighs whilst spitting his tea EVERYWHERE while he's eating!! It's so scary we have to close the grill!

It drives me mad! My warmblood has taught my filly to do pawing and capriolles at feed time. The expensive food, containing expensive supplements gets thrown all over the floor and wasted.
Some reckon its to do with the fact that horses eat on the move in the wild,so when faced with a bowl of yummy grub they have to keep moving, hence the pawing. So we need to get feed bowls a mile long so they can walk and munch!

Oh dear. That sounds serious. Have you had his back checked? ;)

Ha hahaha!!!! I think it's his head that needs checking... he's being backed next year... do hope no-one offers him a treat as unfortunate rider may well be catapulted head first into next village!
