Hi all!
My furries have finally come home :D They were very keen to explore their cage, run around it, find different inventive ways of getting up the levels rather than use the boring ramps. The also have already spilled the water everywhere because Stacey decided that she must see whats behind the water bowl, and my mum tried to help her, BIG MISTAKE! Gavin has found his favourite bed, ran around the cage for a bit, burried himself in the shredded paper and has now gone to sleep. Stacey then decided to go and investigate the litter tray with cat litter, she started digging in it and then stupidly sniffed it, she's snorted some cat litter dust in and proceeded to sit there and sneeze for about 5 min  they've both now settled down and gone to bed :D Very happy with them both :D And here's a picture of them in their new bed :D

It feels amazing :D Gavin's belly is a tad too big to fit in between the cage wall and the ramp, but he keeps insisting on climbing up between them and i have to keep helping him to get out when his belly gets stuck
They're fast asleep now :D I have to upload some to photobucket and will post a couple more, unfortunately only of them sleeping as when they're awake they insist on licking the camera :D

I will get one when they wake up :D The problem is that they get up so close that all you can see is black, because they press their tongues against the lens :D I will try to take one though :D

Yay! Glad they came home. I've got 3, that I have massive suspicions that my neighbour let mine out - they went missing for 3 days but all came home :). Naughty monkeys :)

Your furry babies are gaw-geous xxx

Ferrets are a lot like cats and they sleep a LOT! I think it's about 18 hours a day? I can't remember if that is exact (brain like a sieve today!)

Yes it is 18 hours, although i think gavin will be more than that while stacey will be less than that. She's already been around my room, found it great fun running up and down the stairs, while he was asleep. I've now put her back in to get some sleep but she is scratching at the cage door in protest, and she's running over gavin and stepping on his face

n'aww I love them :D

So cuute!! I have always wanted ferrets, had rats for years. One of the best things is decking out the cages, hammocks, ropes, bridges, chews, blankets :o such fun :D

Lydia has just been tucking into roast pheasant - Coco came right down from her hammock, took one look, and went back to bed - will be interesting to see what Gavin and Stacey make of real meat !

Thank you everyone :D Yes i will have a lot of fun with them! I have already been in stitches laughing at little miss mischief, she found a half deflated ''happy birthday'' baloon, one of the ones that are really rustly and have helium in them. Well, she dragged it into the middle of the room, then ran away from it, took a big run up and belly flopped onto it, her face lighting up as the baloon rustled and fell to the floor, she was doing that for good 5 min before she got bored and went to explore my bedside table :D Gavin on the other hand, has a strange habbit, when you give him a treat, he takes it, walks away from you for a couple of steps, then belly flops onto floor, stretching his hind legs straight behind him, and only then does he eat the treat, he does this every time! Bless them :D

Yes it will be actualy! They'll be getting some chicken tomorrow, cooked chicken :) We'll see :D Stacey seems to really like the chudleys food, but she take it piece by piece and eats it in bed :) Gavin has started to chew the hammock, just lays there before he falls asleep chewing the edges or the strings that it hangs from
Overall, a good first day with my furries, roll on tomorrow when they can have a proper run around the room :)

Our girls are out overnight, but last night we forgot to let them out :o - and this morning their cage was hilarious. they'd ripped all the newspaper up and then made it into a tent ? And as soon as I came down, they skunked - they were not happy girls.

Coco always takes a nugget away to hide and eat , somewhere dark and quiet. Or store it. You'll find little stashes around that they forget about, just in case . I am very proud of Lydia eating meat - apparently they will only ever eat foods that have been introduced to them withing the first few months of life (?) not sure if true, but an interesting theory. Mind you, Lydia does have a penchant for slugs and snails, but we won't go there. Oh, and hub's ears ;)

Has Gavin actually got out of bed yet btw ? He sounds very cosy.

Yes he has :D They had a free run of the house today, and they both loved that! My brother and mum weren't that impressed because Gavin kept stealing brothers lego while Stacey kept stealing my mums heels and getting into her handbag :D They have both mastered the stairs now too :D They both loved their chicken, Stacey kept taking bits away to eat them while Gavin just stood there taking big mouthfulls :) They have picked their 'loo' spot in the house and luckily its in the corner of the kitchen where the floor is lino so easy to clean :) Stacey has worked out which door of the cage she can go in and out herself, so whenever she's bored and wants to come out, she runs to that door, and scratches it, bites it, bounces off it, pushes it and the latest thing is to try to stuff the newspaper out of the door through the bars  Needless to say i was not impressed when she decided that it's play time at 3am and then again at 5.30am, she makes so much noise when she wants to come out that its hard to sleep through it
Stacey has wored out that she can climb up me and sit on my shoulder too :D Gavin has just been a real sweetie, apart from claiming the dogs bed and scratching the carpets. They have both been out twice round the house today for an hour at a time so are now sleeping, again :D
Plan for tonight is to let them run around as much as possible before i go to bed so that they sleep through the night and let me sleep too!
Just 2 pics of Gavin sleeping as Atcey when she sleeps, she's under Gavin and when she's awake it is near enough impossible to get a pic of her! :D
