On zooplus they do a four pack of all their soft flavours which may be the easiest way to test those flavours? You could mix it with the Arden grange?
I’ve just looked it up and that looks good so might try that one as we are low on food anyway so might as well try another different brand while I’ve got to order something.

I was going to suggest Lily's kitchen, our collie used to be very fussy but she loves Lily's. We mix some meat from a tin with kibble and she wolfs it down now. She's gone from being an underweight skinny minny to a really good weight now.
I will put Lily’s Kitchen on a one try list but she wouldn’t even contemplate taking it after one sniff just stalked off sulking but I know it is good food but she was having none of it sadly.

That’s interesting as she does occasionally finish off the yard cats food when she is left while I ride but not always so maybe a small bit of that will work.
I put no more than a thumbnail size on the top of the meat before even putting bowl down.
The meat (Nature diet, most flavours but never the salmon) is on one side, the James Wellbeloved biscuits on the other half, I never mix them as that's guaranteed to halt P dog from eating.

We have a very fussy Jack Russel - who also suffers from a sensitive tummy which I think is where her lack of appetite stems from. Took us a while to find a biscuit feed that she likes and didn’t upset her tummy. So she’s now on James well beloved Small breed biscuits. I fill her bowl and she tends to graze. In the evening I put a sachet of meat ontop which she always eats straight away and then will have some of the biscuits. By the time I feed her the next day she will have eaten the bowl of food. Think she’s a bit over faced with eating all at once, im just happy that she eats it all even if she grazes - she enjoys a 3am snack ??‍♀️ She’s always bouncing about and full of energy, think that’s another issue - she’s much rather be running round with a squeaky toy than eating!

I think that’s her problem is she gets over faced by it all so we tend to give her small meals

it’s nice to know we are not alone I think she does get overfaced with eating thankfully she’s her mad normal self wether she eats or not it’s just finding what she likes the best but we shall carry on trying to find the right one.

Mine much prefers fish to meat so is on Lilly’s kitchen fish. She’s not a huge fan of eating meals but also likes Bonio and treats, which I do ration to a couple a day. She also likes to eat with us, so gets fed the minute we’ve finished. If she’s very lucky she gets a tea spoonful of what we’ve had on the top of hers.

Those of you with fussy dogs what do you feed them? My current dog is very fussy some days she’ll eat some days she won’t. We’ve gone through so many different types of dry food and have tried adding gravy but she still only eats for a few days and then stops. We’ve tried just leaving it down or taking it with us sometimes that works sometimes it doesn’t. She is generally fussy about treats too unless they are Bonios she’d live off them if she could. Any ideas what we could try next?

I haven't read the whole thread so this may have been suggested - could it be possible that your dog suffers from indigestion/acid reflux following a meal and that could be putting her off eating?

It could be but she goes through stages of eating well for a few weeks then back to not eating as well again but will do some research into it definitely thank you.

One of my dogs had this problem. What was suggested to me, and worked, was that I put a measured amount of food down and he had 5 minutes to eat it. Then I picked up the bowl. He got what was left for the next meal and again had 5 minutes. The next meal was what was remaining, again for 5 minutes. I can't remember how long this went on, at least 2 days. Then he realized I wasn't going to play games at meal time and he started to eat when fed, what he was fed.

I can’t help but as a Labrador owner who has four dogs who would eat literally anything at break neck speed I am just...o_O:oops:

Well, you see I have springers who will also do the same and as your dog OP is a cross of the two, it's quite remarkable that you have a fussy one :)

Just a thought but have you checked with a vet there's nothing physically wrong, maybe in her throat or teeth that could be causing pain?

Dogs (unlike cats) don't generally starve themselves. They will go a few days though, so don't worry too much if she doesn't eat for 2 or 3 days at a time. Personally, I would find a food and stick with it. Don't keep swapping and changing as that will upset a dog's tummy. Put the food down, if it isn't eaten straight away, pick it up. Repeat at next feed time and so on and so on. Don't be tempted to leave it down.

Good luck.
