my lami mare went off our usual 1st suppliers hay all day and night wont eat
so i tried another 2nd supplier which she ate for 3 days then wouldn't eat it
finally tried 3rd supplier ( whom we used to buy from 20 years ago ) and she is eating it still is

my pony i put on the 2nd suppliers hay( to use it up ) she wont touch it , went all night without touching it this happened 3 days so put her back onto 1st suppliers ( my mare wont touch) she eats it

donkey eats all the hays

now a livery wont touch the 3rd suppliers hay ( she now has to buy something else not from me as she is diy)

My pony does this every year at around this time. I've just had 70 bales delivered - he eats it fine in the stable but I've just been watching him kicking it about outside. Normally he eats anything. I'm hoping its nothing wrong with the hay and he's just looking forward to spring.

Tell me about it! One of mine is a pain in the backside when it comes to hay - what seems to help with him is giving him a choice so I put up nets of different hay. The perverse sod will often eat the lot that way but if he has no choice won't eat any, though mixing it all up means he won't touch any. I've also resorted to a small net of HorseHage to start him eating, again it seems that if I can get him started he'll often carry on to whatever else is on offer. None of this is guaranteed though, sometimes I get hay that he just won't eat.
