Hi All,

Just a bit of a rant really.

I posted about coming off my youngster early last week.... Well I'm frustrated because all I want to do is ride my mare and get her fit and out and about but I've sprained my shoulder from where I landed.

Can't even turn over in bed asleep without being in pain never tack up.....

Feel sorry for me please?!

You have my sympathy! But good on you for feeling frustrated and wanting to get back riding rather than letting your fall knock your confidence. You should feel better in a few more days (maybe a good book or box set could distract you) and then you can get cracking!

Feeling very sorry for you!
Could you go to a private physio for a bit of work on your shoulder to help it heal quicker?
Or even via the NHS, although in my experience paying gets better results.

You have my sympathy but also envy that hopefully you'll be back on pretty soon. I came off at the beginning of May and was warned off riding for 6 weeks. Since the injury hadn't improved I had an MRI scan which revealed a tear in the cartilage which requires surgery - and the wait for that is 12 weeks, add on to that at least 3 weeks recovery (possibly longer) that takes me right into the hunting season, I could cry with frustration! I can ride until the op if I can take the "discomfort" but the reality is that any more than a walk is painful and getting off is agony for a few moments so I'm just working out the optimum number of painkillers I can take and see if I can bear it then. I'm trying not to dwell on it too much but there are times when it really depresses me.... Hopefully a bit of rest will do it pretty quickly, but don't get back on too soon!
