Big thanks to all of the people who made today's Futurity Championships a success. I thought the day ran very well, so well done all (organisers and participants) on overcoming the potential logistical nightmares involved with such an event.

I also wanted to make one other mention from looking at the results for the Dressage foals - Don Ricoss (Don Frederico / Weltmeyer / Eiger I) was the sire of both the Champion and the third placed foal in this section, which I think is no mean achievment in such a good field of entrants.

Congratulations to Cheryl Mitchell and to the owners of Dante Inferno SFS and Don Rolieto.

I believe a Future Illusion foal was Champion Event foal, and Ch. Eventer, then Reserve Supreme.

Discipline / age section by section results are up. Overall section champs and supremes etc should be aded later today.

Future Propositon was Joint reserve supreme with a two year old BHHS dressage filly Farouche owned by LynneCrowden.

Thrre were not meant to be joint reseves -- another (very large) rosette will have to be ordered as a result!-- and it wasn't that the judges couldn't agree on a result (just in case anyone starts up that rumour), it was just that they really felt that they could not split them and to put one above the other would have been profoundly unfair to the one that wasn't made reserve.

Supreme Champion was Woodlea Farm Eleanor a Pro-Set yearling, who was actually champion in the jumping section, just to show how the KWPN jumping lines come out even in stallions that are marketed/produced for dressage.

And I think the handlers of the dressage filly and the showjumping yearling need special mention -- being asked to run so fast and balanced that their horses cantered on demand in hand (when obviously trained never to break in any circumstances in hand) was an amazing ask, but they did it and did it superbly.

Sadly didn't see anything of the dressage or eventing sections (apart from the overall champions and reserves) as gI had to step in as the Evaluator advisor for showjumping in the afternoon (as well as doing the same job for the ponies in the morning) as the person designated could not attend due to family illness.

Quite a busy (but very interesting) day as a result.

Well done everyone! Fab results and a great show so well done to all the organisers aswell

WELL DONE to everyone involved, the organisers, volunteers, evaluaters, venues (although Addington was not going to let our the Scottish lorry in on Friday night after a long 11 hour journey!!), all the competitors and the wonderful four legged friends, who without them, we would not all be.....BIG CONGRATULATIONS to everyone!

on that note I would like to add that its brilliant for British breeding to have British based and British owned stallions whose offspring are doing so well. Also well done to Pro-Set, the sire of the champion yearling, who was also the sire of one of last year champions Puck's Glenn.

yes a huge well done to everyone who was there. Saw some vey nice horses, have to say I loved both the Woodlander fillies, the winners of the 2 and 3yo dressage classes, and have to say my favourite in the end was the 3yo- maybe I am a little biased as her dam is Trakehner by Consul. The 2nd placed hose in that class - Woodcroft Gonzales - is also Trakehner in blood.
Also loved your boy ASM2 - he's got some limbs on him! and as cheeky as ever.
And the champion dressage broodmare was also a pure bred Trakehner, so a another well done to Larkshill Stud.

We were in the commentary box all day so only saw the dressage and SJ classes, but we did see your lovely boy MFS B'Royal Anastasia, and he looked a picture!

Also saw Cruisline's youngsters, her colt was 4th in the 3yo dressage class, behind anothe HHO'er - Bananaman's Spider!

My only complaint of the day - I wish there had been more spectators. Oh and I'd love to have heard the judges thoughts behind the winners of each class, that would have been vey interesting to hear what they liked about each one

It was a good day!!
I cannot say how lovely the young horses were that came forward and i am sure that the whole system a nd concept will go on to improve.
Jan is simply amazing and puts up with a lot of sttress and very long hours.
There were ups and downs in the day, thankfully the horse that got trapped wil be ok and the fact that the show only ran slightly late was a miracle with all that was going on!!
There was only one rude person..... please in future, people taking part remember that the stewards are doing there best and they are not doing anything other than trying to help!!! so the next time a person starts trying to be pompous about running times and 'if they have the courtesey to turn up on time then the show sould be on time' ..... think on as there were events that , as we all know when involved with children and animals, can go a little astray!!!
I too think there could be some thing done to get more information across and maybe the assesors and judges at these champs could do with telling the audience what and why.
Hope you all got home safely and had large glasses of wine !!!
Until next time then.........
