Futurity Eventers

Hope any of you that have eventers from any age group have noticed the addition to the Futurity website

"This year the top scoring Futurity eventers (first 10 from each age group) will qualify for a Championship at Osberton - Lycetts British Eventing Young Horse Championships. For details of the event see http://www.bedeltd.co.uk/events/osberton.html. If you have qualified, we will send you an entry form following the final Futurity evaluation on 31 August. Good luck to all our eventing entries!"

you also have to get over 8.50 marks wise otherwise like everyone would be going cause there isnt many eventing horses there usaully,

Theres over 30 eventing 2 year olds presented so far - so top 10 would be an achievement.

So thats a fair few eventers presented with 5 more venues left.

Agreed, does anyone know why the eventing is getting preferential treatment over the other categories.

No idea why eventers are getting a final, I only noticed it yesterday when it was pointed out to me.

Just keeping my fingers crossed that we stay in the top 10!

It has been in all the programs about the eventing final

I think the reason there is only one for eventing is because that was the only event the organisers managed to get a final for us at....so hopefully more dressage and SJ events will be willing to participate next year.

Shame it wasn't last year. Our 3 yr old was 2nd overall of all age groups last year. Mind you she's qualified for the 4 yr old final at osberton anyway.

For those folliwng teh Futuirty frustrations thread, another proof that the system IS working. Well done to all concerned.
