Just spoke to Jan this morning as she is about to put the mark sheet guidelines up on the web site and I wanted to make sure that all was OK there. According to the entry data you have been busy supportive bees already so thank you for that :).

FYI there are already over 110 paid for and completed entries (in one day!) with the most entries going to

Arena UK
College EC (Keysoe)
Myerscough
Catherston

and if all the people who have initially reserved Plumpton but not yet paid then that would go to the top of the list :)

There are still of course many spaces still left in all categories at all venues so don't worry too much if you haven't decided what to do yet / the foals haven't been born etc as the system should allow for it and you will all be able to see when entries are closing / full up as the summer runs on.

BTW, for those that are Endurance breeders / producers I gather that there are Endurance evaluations at

The Grange
Plumpton
Richmond and
Solihull

and a specialist Endurance consultant will be present at each of these locations to help the evalutors through the requirments of this new discipline for them.

So congratulations again everyone, and hope you all have a super time :)

Have provisionally entered my yearling for Fountain (provided she doesn't sell before then!)

Will need to find a helper or two for the day though

If it is a problem of just that particualr day I suppose Sunnybank is too much of a difficult trudge through the hilly parts of Wales is it?

People on here are generally helpful souls in things like that though so I amsure there will be people volunteering to help you once you get to either of them once you make it there.

We have entered our foal for Solihull.
College EC the nearest but hopefully i will be in the Pony Club area show jumping team that day, Arena UK is the next but its PC camp week so will have the lorry, thats why we have entered Solihull. At least it gives mum more chance to do things with him... he's a little devil atm
We cant wait this is our first foal and never done anything like this before!

I am thinking of entering a 3 yr old but just worried she may be a bit small (15.1hh). Does size matter, thinking of SJ and event sections. By a SJ stallion out of advanced mare so bred for the job just small

Don't worry you have made a good decision, Solihull is the 'Midlands Premier Equestrian Centre' - I am bias as O/H works and lives there and I am a member and compete there all the time!

It was meant to be elsewhere last year which would have meant a round trip of about 70 miles so we were delighted when the venue was changed at the last minute and it went to Solihull approx 4 miles down the road from our yard!!! My friend is going with again with her three year old, so we may see you there. She is really excited too, she has started trailer practice already! x

Brit, at 15.3, is hardly in the same 'small' league at Teddy.....

Well no, but a surprising number of people still seem to think that you need a HUGE horse to go eventing, when if fact of course the smaller and neater they are the better they can cope with bounce jumps and related distances :)

I think we will take her. Conformation wise she is very correct and she did a bit of loose jumping whilst away for backing she proved to have a good natural technique.
It will be good experience anyway. Just a bit worried about how many helpers we need for the loose jumping.

i ould love to take my mare and foal to it but fountain is just to far away to travel mare and foal it just not fair on them to travel that distance

At last, an atom of sense, glad to see it!
It's not just the journey there it's also the journey back without the stress of being in strange surroundings and having to 'show well' too. It's a lot to ask of any foal and one I wouldn't dream of putting mine through as we're nearly two hours from our nearest one.

That's worrying as we did begin to think that we had most of the country covered within a reasonable travelling time where entries warrent it.

I know that if you were able to find about 25 horses / ponies willing to enter in your area and a venue with a safe indoor school (anything rnaging from a full EC to a private stud wth good viewing facilties) available on a day between mis-July and end of August that did not clash with another Futurity venue then we would do our best to help you as as we do not like to hear of any potentially evaluable animals disenfranchised in this way.

This is what happened for Plumpton and Fountains last year (and look how popular they have become) so over to you :). OTOH I would have thought that the Wynnstay country / Shropshire was pretty equidistant (and possibly travelable) to either Myerscough or Sunnybanks but perhaps my grasp of the road system is a little offkey here?

I'm afraid you have Ciss, lol! Myerscough is at least two and a half hours away with a trailer; even Heart of England which is our nearest I believe, is nearer 90 minutes too. I have to admit to never having heard of Sunnybanks, sorry! There is no way I would subject a mare and foal to that distance in a trailer at any time let alone when it could be the hottest part of the year when the only safe way to travel them is with the top doors shut; so not at all fair on them. No, sorry, mine will stay at home.

As to future venues, the nearest to us could be either South View although I'm not sure about a trotting up area there, it's all changed since I've been there or Reaseheath College at Nantwich. Both of those would be easy for North Waleians to reach too.

This is the very reason we do not show our foals much, especially if there is an early start and then a flipping grand parade at teatime. Not on to stand them in a tin can in summer weather, or any weather come to that

I take it then that not all these venues offer stabling, that is a shame. I sympathise, because I was extreamly glad I had hired a stable when we showed at the TBF show at Addington & it was only up the road. It was a relief to be able to put them into a stable rather then leave them standing on the lorry. One year when we did Herts county it was boiling (a very rare event), again we had a lorry it would have been a nightmare with a trailer. At least we were able to turn the lorry inot a make shift loose box.

I hope to go to Myerscough from Cumbria but the foal isn't due for another fortnight.

I hope the venue isn't over subscribed by then as I don't want to tempt fate by entering before he/she is born.
