Do the horses that have qualified for the Champs still get the recognition of their success if they dont/cant go to the Finals?

Secondly...

Noticed the classes at the Finals and they also include the Breeding mares, so does this mean that the sire and dam are not recognised for what they have bred if they dont/cant go to the Finals? Or is this still taken into consideration?

It would be a shame if they are only recognised for their achievements if they go to the Finals despite doing well in their sections across the UK.

Sorry for the questions but could not see anything on the BEF Futurity website to answer them (seeing as this is our first year at this).

They will be recognised becuase the catalogue of entries is being printed beforehand (passed for press today) so it will include ALL qualifiers whether they turn up or not :)

Don't know what you mean about recognition for sires and dams unless the answer above also covers your question. However, just to clarify:

1 The overall sire ranking results are based solely upon the evaluation data and will not include any consideration of the results for the Finals as these are judged (rather than evaluated) and as the judges are not evaluators the standardised criteria for data/results collection cannot apply

2 The broodmare class is only there as an optional extra but the entries will be on the day so they won't be catalogued any further than they are as dams of successful qualifiers. Also some foals are ETs or fostered so not all accompanying dams will be eligible anyway.

Everyone just needs to keep remembering that the Finals are basically a stand alone different event and although success may be recorded on NED it will be in a different format and not affect existing Futurity scores and rankings for the animal concerned, its sire and/or its dam and breeder.

For the broodmare classes are they all having to go back into the ring again, or will they judge them both when they are both in the ring?

Foal has taken after Mum in becoming a Duracell bunny, however its quite a trip for them, so I don't want to tire them out.

Ciss do the judges look at the scores each horse gained to get there or are they judged with no prior info and judge what they see before them??

As I said above they will provided with the Athleticism score but AFAIK nothing else. It's all in the guidelines :)
