FWD towing?

Was hoping to upgrade my car to a 4WD Tiguan but unfortunately just do not have the budget.

I have a 2012 Kuga FWD, does anyone tow with just a FWD car? Would mostly be for 20-30min trips max and can’t see me doing any off roading!

i towed with an AWD kuga, i wouldn’t have wanted to tow with one that was FWD tbh. if you can get one that’s AWD i loved mine, for travelling 1 horse.

I did years ago with a Volvo V70 (one horse and a Rice)
On road it was fine

Whilst I’d always recommend 4WD for towing over 2WD if the pennies allow it, lots of us used to tow on road with 2WD cars. Though rear wheel drive makes for a much better tow vehicle than front wheel drive if you can get it.

Towing in 2WD is fine until it isn’t .

If you are 100% on good roads I'd say yes. If there is any chance of you going into a slightly sloping gravel car park or any field at all, maybe not

If you can get an older Tiguan in your budget, I would take that over any 2WD - I have one and its a fab towing car
