Gah!! My bog pony thinks he is a delicate flower.... help!

With the change in coat starting the last couple of days, he has started to develope white "pressure" patches everywhere

Where his saddle goes (it is being checked, but has only been done recently and isnt where you would expect a "pressure" point) under the headpiece of his bridle (Albion KB padded bridle most of the time, other padded headpiece for jumping) and even where the top of his Wug goes.

Anyone else got such a sensitive horse?!!! How have you dealt with it?! Hes going to look a right mess soon

Oh dear....bloody horses eh

...mine hasnt the same but hell he must think that because i havnt had a decent vets bill in 4yrs he has something to prove

..pleased nothing serious but costing me enough...oh and he thinks it fun to frighten me to death and choke

I may have to sit him in the corner and explain the damn credit crunch to him

I have a highly sensative TBxID mare - the slightest little scratch, scars and makes her look like she's had an operation! In the middle of summer she suddenly developed a huge white pressure patch on her back. Well, um - she isn't ridden, and was not wearing any rugs!?!? Vet thinks she might have rolled on a hard spot!!

Yep we regularly end up with bald patches just from spur straps

I dont mind bald, I mind white bits! He already has enough white on him

My TBx marks easily - she always comes in with a new cut or something. Wierdly the hair either grows back a gold colour or black...

:mad; blooming horses. WOuldnt mind, but there are no sore spots, swellings or scabs to accompany these "marks"

Maybe hes just going grey in bizarre places... or maybe he IS just a bit of a pansy.... either way he is lovely and if his grey bits are bothering you i can happily swap a nice totally chestnut mare... only white is a star and one sock... i think that is a fair deal.

my yearling has a patch of white hair from a turnout rug last year. she only wore it briefly as her other rug was soaked and needed to dry, it wasn't a great fit but never left any sore spots, but now she has grown in a white patch of hair.
