Off to an in-hand show tomorrow first thing, and in typical Bex style I am totally unprepared

Fortunately I have located jacket, tie, jods and boots...which reminds me I still need to find a shirt

Unfortunately my tack cleaning stuff has gone AWOL - it was last seen frantically trying to rescurrect OH's wallet, which I put in the washing machine (whoops)...
...and of course being the epitome of chaos I have left cleaning my tack to the last minute.

So I may need some good luck vibes, and perhaps a list of things I ought to get prepared and take with me??

Thank you lovely HHOers xxx

this isn't the dressage, that got cancelled due to bad weather

not sure when/if I'll be able to do that

but this is in hand showing, so hopefully i won't f*ck up too badly!!

Hehe, bet you were like 'damn' couldn't find the right bit anyway!! Sure you will do swimmingly! I have given up having ordered a walk/test and decided I will never get the right amount of control in a snaffle! Yours is such a handsome boy! x

I think we'd just about sussed out a bit (thanks to all the advice on here) although I wasn't 100% convinced we weren't going to make a swift exit in gallop, mowing down small children on the way...

But mowing down small children is soooo much fun!

So what bit did you get on (with control) in the end? I must have missed the end of the posts that you did, as I gave up when they said waterfords weren't dressage legal (hence giving up on the idea of a walk/trot test)!

I tried a french link hanging cheek and he was OK in that - far from perfect but he didn't fight me too much. I think ideally I'd go for a straight bar hanging cheek, so will be investing in one of those soon! Aren't ponies fun?!

I had the pony in one of those - but didn't think they were BD legal? God, aren't we sad, its a Friday night and we are talking about bits!

Clean your tack!

Good luck for tomorrow!
