Any one else have bad wind were they are?

Ive just had a call that all of the horses have been brought it as the field shelter has blown into the ditch taking the fence with it

i got blown sideways off the muckheap ramp! luckily i had the presence of mind to let go of the (full) wheelbarrow so that stayed upright!
it is ridiculously windy here, hard to make headway against. i lost 2 field shelters to it last spring, hopefully they're anchored down enough now...

Its terrible here in Derby I lost most of my hay before i got back to the stable and my girls wanted to come back in after a quick roll and a run round!!! Sun has come out now!! yeeha

if i leave jay in i will have no stable later on as he will take the door/walls down

Oh no! Hope all the horses are ok in the wind.

I'm gutted as I'm supposed to be picking up my brand new trailer tomorrow but I don't think I will be in this weather. I feel all deflated. Still, worse things happen and I least I know that I am getting it at some point.

Hope no-one was hurt!

No i dont think no one was hurt they've come in as the fence was taken down at the same point the field shelter went and there is no one to put it up. Ill have to do it later.x

its damn alwful here in north herts, rode in the indoor school and although it was muck heap emptying day with jcbs everywhere my mare was so good. all the horses are being kept in.

Started off not too bad in mid-herts (hi kombikids, we must be very close!) but getting worse by the minute. All mine queuing up to come in and now fence panel has blown out so yard not secure... damn.

All ours are in today as was blowing a real gale and chucking it down this morning. The wind is dropping now though, so might go over in a bit and turn them all out for the afternoon.

I'm in N Herts too.

Was horrid here 1/2 hour ago and I nearly relented and brought them all in. However it is brighter now and they have mooched off to graze again. They all have thick warm full necks on.

tell me about it can't go up the yard as it is just too dangerous, there are wheelie bins and recyling boxes all over the roads, and my yard is off a dual cariageway and is dangerous to get out of at the best of times grrr

Its been a nightmare here (n.ireland) At the minute if you look outside its lovely , Snow on the mountains and bright blue skies , Give it another 10 mins and it will turn into a raging blizzard . Has been snowing on and off , the winds is dreadful , Our fence blew down , just thank god there is no young bullocks in the field this time . (blasted things broke in before and they made a right mess)
