As I'm discovering whilst searching for a new yard, it really is all about the people you know:rolleyes: I live in Church Crookham with ponies currently located in Dogmersfield at apparently the only DIY yard within 10 minutes of my house that allows 24/7 turnout all year!

I thought I would ask all people who are relatively local to me to keep your eyes and ears open for 24/7 turnout for 4 horses...well 3 horses and a pony. My friend and I are getting pretty desperate to move, but are having huge difficulty in finding what we need in our area. Even to rent a field and stables to ourselves is proving mission impossible and if anyone knows someone with just a field that they will happily take long term rent for, we will have it!

I cannot even think of where to start about the issues on our current yard...barb wire, no fencing, escaping ponies, farmer feeding them mouldy hay I COULD GO ON. However, if anyone is planning on moving to the Dogmersfield area, you can then have my full opinion!

I am just round the corner from you and im nearly 100%sure i know which yard you are at! :) I have horses near winchfield station.

haha, i know where you are too!

I used to be there yeeeeeaaarrsss ago.

I was lucky and had one of the separate fields though, so we put post and rail fencing up (my pony escaped into the neighbouring garden beforehand) and picked all the ragwort - I'm assuming that's still a problem :)

Also, I am finding it hard to find DIY places too! I don't need all year 24 hr turnout but I am finding that there are just not many DIY yards around. They all seem to be assisted DIY or part livery now.
