It's very sad that it ended like this. I sort of felt after Cheltenham that he would never shake off the shadow of that
accident. I don't know what happened - he was right out at the back and off the screen but was at first reported up and caught, but
but on the second circuit the screens were up. I've never liked summer jumps racing and the ground is as unforgiving as it is ever likely to get at the moment.
RUK didn't show the fall and he was out the back and out of camera shot but I gather he fell, AP jumped up and caught him, the screens went straight up and that was that. Poor boy, he was a lovely horse. I love jumps racing but don't know that it should be done in the summer, but I daresay they water the courses. It might not have had anything to do with that, of course. Very sad.
