Gallop saddles - how much?

I've been given a brand new gallop saddle but it's too wide for my mare. She needs a new saddle so I was going to try and sell it to fund the new one but how much do I ask for it? It's black, leather, wide and has only sat on my horse to be sized. It smells lush

Also - has anyone sold saddles on eBay - is it better to sell them on there or try and sell locally?

I bought a gallop saddle off ebay for £70 plus postage if that gives you an idea on prices. When i was then trying to sell the same saddle i got no response advertising locally, sold it with the horse in the end, i think because its not a well known make that people seeing how nice it is on ebay (as you put pic in there) are more likely to buy it than they are through a local advertisement!

i sold a spare Gallop saddle a couple of months ago, we bought it when the mare was a complete elephant but she did slim down - got £35 for it, but it had been used.

I sold my brand new gallop dressage for £50+p&p on ebay, but this was about 2/3 years ago.

I have sold saddles on ebay, in fact I have 2 for sale now which don't fit my mare. Both are used, English leather and priced under £50 plus postage. I have watched a few Gallop saddles. They don't seem to go very high even brand new. The equine advertiser is free, maybe try that?
