As above please, can anyone let me know how big the detachable necks are? They come s,m,l,xl and I was thinking of a large but there only seems to be xl left. Im sure the width would be ok, its more the length lol
Its for a chunky Highland with a neck to match and Ive read these really suit chunky horses. His large Swish rug neck isnt overly generous width wise.
Thanks in advance

I have combo Gallop rugs so can't help re detachable necks, but Gallop have generous necks as it is, both in length and width. I have a 15.1 cob in a 6'3" combo and the neck folds back slightly to fit behind his ears. I'd suspect that XL would be too big on a Highland. Hopefully someone will be along who uses the detachable necks!

Thanks for replying. I tried the 6'3 combo last year, loved the fit of the actual rug and quality but sadly couldnt fasten the bloomin neck and Im sooo precious over his mane lol. Only recently noticed they did detachable necks, but can only see size XL left :(

It is a size Large detachable neck that comes with 6ft3 rugs. If the combo did not fit (I do not have any of the combo rugs) then an XL might do the job.

Sorry, I think I might have used the wrong word - the rugs I have have a built in neck, as in, all in one piece.

I would give the XL a go, it sounds like your pony has an enormous neck! You can always fold it back a bit, it doesn't seem to do mine any harm.

I also use Gallop rugs, I have one 50g and 2 x 100g and they both have necks. I agree they are generous sized.

Thank you all, Ive measured his detachable neck from one of his Swish rugs and surprisingly the length is the same as the XL Gallop size guide, it is wider though. I suppose I can only try. Thanks again
