So I love these. Whenever we go somewhere there's one I make sure I go on at least once!! The year 6's go to our local theme park for their end of treat and it's always made perfectly clear to my group that we WILL be going on the carousel!

I'd love to hire one and ride it all day long but they are rather expensive! On my list of things to do is ride a proper old fashionned one, preferably steam powered. So my question to you HHO'ers, have you got a good one near you? I don't mind travelling as would make a short break of it.

Not an old fashioned one but Drayton Manor Park has one. I know because when I’ve gone with my niece and friends children I’ve insisted on going on it - more than once! Love a carousel - but only want to ride a horse,not sit in a carriage or on another animal!

My sister lives opposite Bressingham Steam Museum but I have not been to the museum for years.

Has anyone been to Bressingham Steam Museum?

It’s near me, I’ve been several times in the last few years with my grandsons. The galloper is lovely. The steam museum bit is rather run down. The 3 miniature train rides are ok, young children love them. Nice gardens.

Just a few times, set up by my grandfather . Best was my cousin's wedding last summer where we all rode on it when the museum was closed. I LOVED it as a child (though the nearby hot donuts also added to it ).
