Hi All

I just wanted to share this with you. I came across their page on facebook last night and am amazed at the work they do. (some pics pretty bad so warning)

They are 100% volunteers including their vets and rely on charity! They also help educate local people on how to look after their horses & donkeys better.

Now I have no direct involvement with them, i am not a rep or anything like that. I simply came across them last night after a mutual friend "liked" their page so i took a nose. And i am not asking anyone to donate either.

I just wanted to share this with you as I found them very inspiring! :)

Yes they are a fabulous charity. We collected small snaffle bits for them and headcollars and hubby kept his old rasps and knives too. They take out box loads of stuff regularly ti the Gambia. You can donate money to them too of course.

Heather who runs the charity says that the bits make such an enormous difference to the donkeys and horses.
Sadly they are having to cut back on the number of collections they are sending out to the Gambia due to funding cuts - they are affected like everyone by lesser charity giving :(
