This year we have fenced our garden off so the dogs cannot go on the grass in winter ( cream carpets and muddy paws dont do together too well). Only thing is i cannot get rid of the wee smell :( i bleach the garden but that works for about an hour.
Someone has told me to use Jays fluid is this any good? what do you use.

Thanks xx

If you are using Jeyes please water it down as much as you can so it doesn't burn paws. What's the surface? We kinda cheated when we flagged the dog runs, we did not cement them so that when we sluice, the water all runs down through the cracks into the gravel beneath, and the exercise area is gravel over hardcore on top of what was pretty much a bog, so we don't get much smell.

Jeyes will only mask the smell. Biological laundry powder made into a weak solution and poured onto the areas breaks down the chemical composition of urine and does get rid of the smell. However it will not do your plants or grass much good! You can buy special kennel washes that work well to do the same job from places like pet pharmacy, chemist direct, etc. Alternatively try "Dog Rocks" http://www.dogrocks.co.uk/about_dog_rocks.asp ( I have NO connection to them at all) as friends who use them swear by them and they say as well as stopping brown spots it also stops the smell. In fact I think I will go ahead and try them also for my pack.

Its on tarr mac we have only noticed it now we have 3. I only wash down the yard on a night before bed so that its all dry when i let them out on a morning. Thanks will try washing powder :)
