Gareeb/Ghareeb

Sorry not sure on the spelling!! Has anyone used this stallion in the past or know where this stallion is standing and if he does AI?

I believe Ghareeb is in Ireland now, was at Louella so they might have a contact no.

Yes they sold him to Ireland, no idea who has him though.

He stands at Kiltealy stud with JJ Bowe. Usually only does natural service.

i had a mare by him a couple of years ago,very level headed easy to do. good confo and moved straight. id have another!

The only thing I would say is buy youngstock by him rather than breed. I have seen lovely stock by him but he is by Dancing Brave who had a bad parrot mouth and that does seem to be able to skip a generation.

Good point maestro though I will say that I've seen my share of Ghareebs and haven't met a parrot mouth yet definately something to bear in mind though.

He used to be raced by my boss and was a sweety at home. I have had experience of one of his youngsters and she is very talented and kind, no hint of a parrot mouth.

I know of 2. Tried one when I was horse hunting, she was a very smart mare, lovely temperament and gorgeous to look at. We also have a 5yr old on the yard by him. He is very sweet, a bit of a wimp by he really moves beautifully.

He still is! Lovely temperament, like his sire and his stock are just as placid. Never seen/heard of parrot mouths in the Ghareeb stock either.

He's not currently available by AI but if he was, would be first in the line. We had two Ghareebs this year - only thing 'wrong' was two colts were delivered, instead of hoped-for fillies but if at first you don't succeed ..
