I have no interest in football, whatsoever, in fact I didn't even know who he was, but having watched last night's news, how desperately sad. He leaves behind a loving wife, and two little boys. He was still young, and appeared to have everything to live for. Our thoughts will be with those who loved him.

I couldn't believe it when I saw it on the news yesterday.

Awful. My OH works for the FA, we heard it on Radio 1, and he was stunned
Do we still not know exactly why he did it?

I have found it more sad the more reports I see. I am no football fan but I am shocked at how someone can feel that low to do something like that and leave two young kids without a dad :-(

He used to live locally to us when he played for Leeds and would drink in our village pub -I worked behind the bar at the time. We would also often see him when we were out riding as he'd pass in the car.

So sad that he felt that that was his only answer. Nobody should ever have to feel that. RIP Gary.

I was stunned to hear this..he was only in a studio on saturday being interviewed and as normal as ever.

Sad it is. But I do believe that Gary will always be remember to those who know him personally or not!
