Gasstons Stables - Headley, Surrey

Does anyone know this yard/can recommend it? I previously discounted it for being too far away but can't find anything suitable nearer, so am going to view it. In particular, what is the grazing like?

Hiya Their fields are pretty close to where I am and I would say generally they are overgrazed. Looks like all post and rail fencing though. I only know 2 people who have been there - one was thrown off the yard and the other left in a very short time. I personally wouldn't recomend - their schools are right next to the M25.........and I mean right next to! Called for someone doing dressage comp there and nearly lost my voice shouting so loud

We are on Ranmore if that's any help? But have you considered down the A3 to say Ripley? Friend runs owlbrook competition yard in Ripley which is very nice. Just I know what a pain travel is when you are driving out. I used to live in Fulham with 3 horses on part livery in Ockham and work in Stoke Poges...I did a LOT of driving!

I know a couple of people who are there and seem happy enough. They went there while waiting for Durdens to open and didnt leave, i think the traffic noise might be a deal breaker for me thou. Where i am i can here the M25 which is annoying but mostly background noise and im not as close as they are.
When i was looking i rang a few yards up that way and they are mostly part livery. It might be worth taking a trip up that way a knock on a doors if you know what i mean.

Thanks all, good info. Didn't take into account how close to the M25 it is. Any others round there that might be worth a look?

Have you looked at Durdens? Only down the road from where you are now and i think the grazing is ok. Again i've got some friends there but dont know a huge amount about it.
I'm trying to think of other places round there that i rung but can't think of any at the moment.

Have you looked at Cobham? Its not that far from Epsom really and there are some nice yard round that way.

Thanks. I did previously look at the Durdans....quite fancy a change of scenery though.

Cobham seems a bit of an awkward journey! Have seen a couple in Ockham though, so might look down that way....
