So horse has damaged the above tendon in his right hind.

As he is 18 and not insured we are doing four weeks box rest and then 6-8 weeks small area turnout in his feil then ignore for 9 months

He had just come back in to hacking work after doing his 3rd suspensory branch injury, yep three out of four suspensory branch's he has damaged. I was hoping for an even four but he decided to change the game this time.

The vets haven't seen this injury before as its not common.

All I want him to do is come back feild sound.

Has anyone had this and they have come back feild sound? He is 18 and likes to charge around like a 12hh pony when he is a 16:3 tank. So does it all to himself ?

Also has anyone had any reports on the back on track hock boots? As a therapy type boot? Cold hosing and cryo chaps aren't helping bringing the swelling down.

Thanks all

My dressage mare did this while she was in the field with foal. We scanned it once weaned and before she came back into work, and it looked okay but shortly after returning to work it broke down again. She was retired on the spot as the vets said there wasn’t much to be done and they don’t come back well from it.
4 years later she is still field sound.
