Gatcombe Intermediate

Brilliant result, well done and on upgrading too: very special moment, hope you had/have a huge measure of whatever is your tipple

Taking a horse from N to A is a huge achievement, look forward to more reports like this one! We were there and ran earlier on Sun, the conditions were really testing, I was looking for excuses to withdraw

And that drop into the woods is huge, jumped it 2 years ago in the 2* and walked it this time - it hasn't got any smaller

Yeah, I remember that - landed in trot

so felt really easy, but my horse was so bold I could come in really precious (and I did
crazy.gif
) and he would still go - I remember Louisa Lockwood's putting in a really dirty stop and her sailing over the drop!

I had 2 embarassing runouts, one at the treble early on (rolltop brush rolltop) where I completely stuffed up my line and one at the brush corners where I - er... - completely stuffed up my line

I did dressage on the Fri then helped run Monmouth ODE on the Sat, ran early on Sun morning without walking the course again and was too kna**ered to do a decent job. Still, it was just a warm-up for Kreuth a couple of weeks later really so didn't matter (and I did a bit better job there

)

Just realised you probably meant how did I get on this time

In which case, horse completely blew in dressage on Fri to get a 67

then had first SJ down then clear, lovely clear XC but slow as nothing left to gallop for really... Pleased though as it's his first season eventing so he's come a long way in a short time

SJ sorry to have missed you, dad was a bit off with me retiring so made a hasty exit, the photos are fab, I'm gutted to have missed Sarnita.
The SJ warm up really was a mud bath, Saf is top of the ground horse too and was so surprised how she jumped out of it too
Huge well done to you and your advanced mare WOW

Yay, fantastic day, especially with upgrading. Make sure you drop "my advanced horse" into the conversation as often as you can, I have been.

Btw Hector said he'd rather like Sarnie as his girlfriend, if that's ok with her.

Match made in heaven I reckon
wink.gif
. Mind you he might find her a bit demanding and full of her own importance

Advanced mare sounds good and will sound good if she ever has babies too

What can I say - I can't add much to all the comments above. Fabulous result! Guess we won't be seeing you out at Int's next season after all!

As for xc phase she was AWESOME, it was an education walking that course, i did really think one fence was very scary and your relpy was champion 'Thats ok, i did that last year!!!!'

And you walked and picked great line through water knowing you would have knitting issue!!!! but you did ride it much better than WFP as he was lucky to get away which doing 31/2 strides between elements
