To start with, we were late getting there as on the way up, we passed what looked like a dead body on the embankment of the M-way

we slowed down and pulled into the hard shoulder and phoned 999 asking for police and ambulance, obviously we couldn't stop quickly and by the time we had stoped we were a long way pased it (them

) the police said they had had a few other reports of it, and that a car and ambulance was on its way.. this all took a while tho, so we were on our way again about 15mins later (having left home a bit late too

So, Dressage... i'll start with the excuses

i haven't done an Int. for 5yrs now, and it was a hot section with WFP and Moon Man, Daisy Dick and Springbok to name but a few in it... i know there's alot to work on, but i was happy enough with a score of 40, even tho it was almost last

ShowJumping... felt amazing!!! i thought it was up to hight, as i've been told the SJing at Gatcombe often is?? anyway, we had the one down, not sure why, he only taped it!

CrossCountry... was even more amazing!!! clear round with only 14.4 time faults.. (although not all the scores were up, i was about 3rd fastest with about 10 scores left to go up)

Anyway, we came on home before all the results went up, as i wasn't going to get placed with a dressage like that!!

I'm thrilled none the less!!! i thought i'd be riding round intro/PN for ever more!! now i've had my taste of a bit more excitment, i'm going to spend all next week writing begging letters to people to buy the horse for me!!

Also, another HUGE thankyou to BBs.. can i book you in for the rest of the season??

HUGE WELL DONE!

You rode as good as any professional out there today. You held your own and rode two superb jumping rounds!

Ernie is a completely dude, and so chilled today.

I was so proud of you, now just to crack that dressage!

13th in the most hotly contested class around!

I thoroughly enjoyed today, great to catch up with you and your parents too, i love your mum

PS fatso has grown his hair, he looked like a girl Ewwwww

Massive congrats MdM, I think you've put quite a lot of pressure on yourself about him - seems you're good under pressure then! And don't be too hard on yourself - 40 means 6's all the way, which isn't bad at all!

HUGE well done, that is a really exciting result!!
Sounds as though he was a real star and that you guys are v.promising combination!!
Must be a fab feeling- just now have fingers crossed that you can find a syndicate/buyer for him..or that your Dad will come to his senses and change his mind about selling...!

Fab news have dashed back from a weekend away stuff saying hello to anyone needed to find out how you got on!

how was the course?!

[/ QUOTE ]

I've not seen enough Int's to compair it to.. but i thought it was very fair, there were no big spreads, and nothing that was designed to catch you out! I had a fab ride round the XC, so am bound to say it's a nice course tho

seems you're good under pressure then!

I've always been better under pressure, also when i'm a little scared!! my first time at a level higher than i'm used to is usually my best.

So was it a body then?

[/ QUOTE ]

It was a body, but the body was alive and passed out from too much Sat. night drinking i think! VERY strange place to end up if you ask me tho!!!
