Gatcombe this weekend

I'm going on Saturday. Went last year and really enjoyed it, its a bit calmer that Badminton shopping so plenty of opportunities to spend lots of money!!!

was meant to be competing there on friday (the pony club showjumping) but we only had 3 members in our team so couldn't be entered- gutted

Rosie was meant to be going for the Novice championship but BB has leg problems so it's looking unlikely now unless the vet can work miracles

Hope to go fri and sat, its such a lovely event i've been going for years(and years) used to get taken there by one of the med team which was great as got driven round the course!

its great value and i usually get a weekend ticket as its not much more than a day ticket.
 
BB and i are now hopefully going for the novice championship, as touch wood the legs are sorted! I have never been before so really looking forward to it and keeping my fingers crossed that we get there and it all goes well!!

Im there friday with the PC team as i am the team manager, we are 6th to go!

Millbrooksong what time are you? whats your horse called? i will look out for you!

PC eventer, such a shame i didnt know earlier because (unless the rules have changed) you could have borrowed a member form our PC, I had 12 try out and 7 which were capable of getting round so we have 3 capable riders not going!

Just been and walked the course with an event rider, was surprised how scary the novice looked having to jump two of the corners.
Open was just bloody scary, and the eventer that took us round told us the water was difficult but think he was just bitter as he fell in the open last year at it lol.
Saw Mark Phillips who gave us disaproving looks at us pony clubbers
 
We're the 5th team to jump so you must be after us!! (Beths horses name is Millbrook Song - you wont miss her!!)
Pony Club Eventer - we only have 3 members for our team - everyone else seems to be on holiday but we are still going!
Good luck everybody competing this weekend - lets hope it stays dry!!
