Well first event for Sarnita this season the Intermediate at Gatcombe. Lovely course wack up to height but not overly technical. A double of corners did cause some problems though.

Dressage was much improved and I thought a little harshly marked for 38 but she tried hard and the movements were all a big improvement on last year particularly shoulder in.

Showjumping was big but she jumped a brillant round but did have the bogey fence the middle part of the treble which was a wide oxer off a long first stride.

Cross country she was awesome jumping fluently and confidently. We did have a little disagreement at the corners when having decided on the right hand route she sppoked at something in the hedge and we had a last minute change to the straightest left hand route - obviously should have done this in the first place! Only 16 time faultds which was pretty good as everyone was having tons.

We finished just out of the placings in a very strong section. The same score in the other Intermeediate sections would have placed us 3rd or 7th! Very pleased with her, she arrived home very pleased with herself so she obviously really enjoyed it. Roll on the next event.

well done you two, can't hurt for RR either....

She still looked full of running when you were walking her back.

What a star she is, that was a strong section, and you held your own brilliantly. Apart from MdeM who i know, I bet there arent many combinations with only a field to practise in competing at the level you do.

Big pats. Hopefully you will make it to Withington, when i can actually watch you guys properly

It seemed a fair size to me. My eye was out as well as haven't done anything that big for a while.

Hopefully taking both mine to Withington if I can cope with them competing on different days!

I would gladly give you a lift although would probably struggle with 2 on board as we are just over the weight limit then. I presume you are going for ** at Osberton? Should fit in well after a couple of Int runs if you can't hget there Sansaw is nice.

I don't know anyone going to Osberton and looking at last years list no one from down this way travelled up.

You only have to do 1 CIC** to qualify for a CCI not two

i know, but if you only do one CIC** you also have to do a CCI*.. i'm thinking the easier option (as far as time and money are concerned) is a CIC**, hence 2 CIC**s

You are wrong.

From BE rule book

2 qualifying results must be achieved out of any of the following competitions:
- CNC** (Intermediate)
- CIC** (inc. Rural Riders CIC** European Championships)
- CCI*
In addition 1 further qualifying result must be achieved out
of any of the following competitions:
- CIC** (inc. Rural Riders CIC** European Championships)
- CCI*

Therefore 1 CIC** is required and 2 normal intermediates.

lol looks like i do

and the diesel money to get there..

right, so if i do another Int clear xc, and say Sansaw CIC**, i'm then qualified for a CCI**....

BUT, if i do Sansaw (and say it all goes to plan) that's not going to leave me enough time to get entered for say Ede CCI**

would rather something earlier, and i know there might be a chance of a lift there (now you tell me their lorry is full to bursting?).. i know BE can be sweet talked for a few things (ie someone said 3 days before leaving for the sunshine tour [that Lucy did] that they could get me a place out there, the only reason i said no was the horse wasn't fit enough)

Blair is great isn't it!
The YR europeans are there... so lots of atmosphere- even more than usual. Should have a real 'international' feel!
Although Ede is supposed to be lovely.
