So managed to get one at badders!!! yey! Will arrive by Friday (didnt have the silver one in stock!) So the question is would you SJ in it???

I was going to get a Champion ventair jockey skull for SJ and XC but they didnt fit so got a gatehouse but would that look ok to SJ in as well as XC!

Can I be nosy and ask why the Gatehouse fitted and the Ventair did not? My ventair is 2 sizes smaller than I would normally take, and fits fairly well, but may have been designed for a rounder shaped head than mine, as there is still a small gap at the sides even though is snug from front to back. I think I have an oval rather than a round head.
Have only seen one Gatehouse over here yet, so would feel really conspicuous if I had one. Seem to be quite a lot of them about on the mainland now??

Yes i go BSJA but i mainly event and cant SJ at events in a GPA they arent alowed. I do already have an old GPA that i bsja in.
 
Just pull your silk down, no one will notice!

I wear my old skull cap for SJing, much prefer it. Tried on a champion sjing hat at Badders and made me look like a Chav!

Fiona, i too bought the new champion skull and thats a size smaller than i usually wear, which was great cos i didnt have to pay vat !!
 
Don't think it matters, I think they are very smart with a velvet cover. Infact when mine arrives I plan to use it for sj and xc-rather not have to take 3 hats with me when I compete!
 
The vent air didnt sit on my head very deep and just didnt feel comfortable whatever size I tried!!

The Gatehouse fitted lovely as soon as I put it on! Fitted like a glove!

I will probably SJ in it as well then I did see a guy SJ in his Gatehouse at Badders actually
