Does anyone remember Gates's riding school in Rostherne Cheshire?
I learnt to ride there as a child and have been thinking fondly about it recently and wondered if it was still going:)

Hi Sue yes I do, I used to ride there in the late 60' s as a kid too. I went back some years ago and it has closed down quite a while before then. Great times. I have some photos of it with me and my mum. Get back to me if you are still on here.

I used to ride there with ny mother in the 1950s and remember Mr Joe Gates in his brown overall. He used to tease me vecause I expected my horse to be tacked up and ready for me. He was a good teacher. Later I would ride with his daughter Celia I think and we would have a good gallop up the hill. Carried on there until the mid 60s. My younger daughter is now a riding instructor herself.
